We are in the process of moving our operations to Bainbridge Island, Washington which is located across from Seattle.  We expect to complete our relocation to Bainbridge Island around the beginning of October 2007.  We closed our retail store in August 2007 so that we could focus more on internet sales which have become the heart of our business.  The fact is that 98% of our sales occur online, thus it makes sense to focus our efforts on the internet portion of our business.  Internet operations will continue during our relocation.  For those of you who are curious, this is what our retail store looked like:

Click the thumbnail images below to view the full size picture...

This was the front of the store... We were often credited with having the most elegant store in Downtown Roseburg.

The first thing that people often noticed when they walked into our store was the herd of hand carved carousel horses that we imported from Thailand...  The horses were used to decorate the entry way of the store and the ramp which leads to the main showroom.  The heavily carved chunk of wood pictured on the far right was our "business card holder"...

This is the main showroom...  As you can see we have a lot more jewelry in the store than we have displayed on our web site, it's all a matter of time.  Think of us as a hybrid version of most high end jewelry stores that you've walked into...  We have all the jewelry...  Tons of colored stones...  About 48 strands of pearls of various lengths and varieties on any given day...  About a zillion semi-mounts...  Wedding bands up the Wazoo and the capability to custom create anything that your heart desires...  Did we mention the collection and superior grade Lightning Ridge Opal from Australia?  Lovely Blue Sapphires from Thailand?  Rubies...  Emeralds... Tourmaline...  You get the idea.  The computer pictured in the middle is one of our "design stations" and in case you're wondering, the Lion Desks that you're looking at were carved in Indonesia...  By the way, one thing we'd like you to notice is the type of lighting that we used in the store...  It's normal fluorescent and incandescent chandelier lighting because we like our customers to buy their diamond under the same type of "real" lighting that they live and work under and not force the jewelry to look phenomenal by pumping tons of light into the store using halogen lighting with dio-chromatic colored lenses intended to simulate intense sunlight...  We had a few halogen lights on hand for people who want to see the difference, but when we tell you that a diamond is gorgeous, we want you to know that it is gorgeous and lively on it's own merit and not because of some artificial jewelry store lighting that could make frozen spit look wonderful.

Employees Only Beyond This Point...  This is where your playground came to an end and ours began...

The first picture shows our Todd's eldest son Corey mucking up one of the office computers with Dusty pictured in the background at his desk... Corey is currently serving our country in the U.S. Marine Corps, we are quite proud of him but miss his abilities to keep our computers up an running at warp speed!  The other office Slave Jon vanished from sight right about the same time a camera showed up in the store...  He's normally sitting behind Todd who you can catch a glimpse of in the middle picture...  Todd's late wife Robin is pictured staring at her computer in total disbelief on the right, Robin passed away on June 1, 2005.  I think she was muttering something about her computer being stupid and wanting to know who messed with it...  An excellent time for Corey to leave for lunch!

Behind these doors was our private diamond grading area and workstation...  It's where we take a lot of our photographs, prepare packages for shipment, build custom jewelry and stuff like that...  Why are we not showing it to you?  Because Robin ran out of time when she was taking the photographs for this page and we decided to move to Bainbridge Island, Washington.
