On May 1, 2025, Todd Gray, father, husband, and diamond buyer extraordinaire, passed from this world and into the next after one of the valves in his heart failed. It’s been a tough six months, and I apologize to everyone, especially to those who tried contacting Todd and have been waiting for a reply, for not writing this sooner.
My name is Corey Gray, and I am Todd’s eldest son. It was his wish that I take over the family business. I grew up surrounded by diamonds; Dad started with diamonds the year before I was born. I remember viewing beautiful stones through a microscope and learning how to use a loupe correctly while I was still a child, and I helped analyze the diamonds coming into our office once I was older. Dad taught me a lot about diamonds, and I’m a jewelry snob to this day (just ask my wife), but he taught me even more about how to treat people with honesty and integrity.
Expect to hear more about diamonds and the future of Nice Ice later, but, for now, just know that Dad was a good man who had a hard life but always tried to do the right thing for everybody: family, friends, clients, vendors, and even competitors. We all miss him terribly.
