Ritani Engagement Rings are available in the most popular designs and exhibit the perfect blend of old-world craftsmanship and computer-aided design (CAD). They offer an extensive collection of ring styles and you can also design your own engagement ring.
Here Are Some of the Most Popular Styles of Ritani Engagement Rings:
The French Set Halo by Ritani is one of their more popular styles and is available for round and cushion cut diamonds.
Ritani's Knife Edge Solitaire is a timeless classic designed for round brilliant cut diamonds 0.15 carats and more.
The Vintage Halo Setting by Ritani is a popular choice among people who love pear-shaped diamonds.
Ritani Engagement Rings First Impressions:
As a matter of fact, the first time I saw the collection of Ritani engagement rings was at the JCK Trade Show in Las Vegas. At the time, they were shaking the foundation of the traditional brick-and-mortar market.
That's because they had decided to make their designer collection available to the public directly via their website. In the meantime, other designers like Tacori, Verragio, and others wouldn't even allow their designs to be featured online.
In that way, Ritani chose to set themselves apart by embracing the combined power of the internet and traditional retail. Consequently, that means that you can buy Ritani engagement rings online or from a local authorized dealer.
Try-On Your Favorite Ritani Engagement Rings At Home:
As a matter of fact, you can order Ritani engagement rings online, and they'll send them to a local jewelry store for a free preview. Be that as it may, their Try At Home Program is more fun and convenient.
After all, they'll send you samples of three different rings for you to try from the comfort of home. Under those circumstances, you'll have 10 days to determine which of the Ritani engagement rings you prefer.
Consequently, the sample rings are made from sterling silver and set with cubic zirconia. However, that is more than sufficient to try on the rings and decide which one you like best. Although that may be true, you still need to Pick Your 3 Favorite styles of Ritani engagement rings.
Breaking Down Barriers & Sparkling Brilliantly:
Obviously, the Try At Home Program from Ritani Engagement Rings is breaking down barriers. After all, it enables you to try on 3 rings from the comfort of home instead of visiting a local store.
In that case, you'll have peace of mind knowing that you love the ring style before placing the order. Under those circumstances, Ritani has eliminated the risk of ordering an engagement ring on the internet.
After all, the biggest obstacle used to be whether you would like the ring.
Although that may be true, it can be a challenge to decide which of the many Ritani engagement rings is your favorite. Social media is one of my favorite places to see different ring styles. That's where I found the 3-stone ring on the left.
Where to See Ritani Engagement Rings Online:
One of the best places to see the most popular engagement rings is online, specifically within the scope of their social media channels that feature photographs from satisfied clients. In that case, you can see a wide variety of Ritani engagement rings here:
Those are some of my favorite places to find inspiration that will help you choose the right ring. Not only can you see what people are buying, but you also get an idea of how each design looks in different alloys. In other words, how Ritani engagement rings look in platinum, rose gold, white gold, and yellow gold.
How to Pick the Best Ritani Diamonds:
As a matter of fact, there are two approaches that people tend to make when buying an engagement ring. On the one hand, you can pick your favorite style of Ritani engagement rings and then select the diamond.
Or, you can choose the diamond from their extensive inventory and then select the setting. Consequently, I don't think it really matters either way because the result is the same.
Although that may be true, it is essential to pick the right diamond because the combination of proportions and optical precision determines the sparkle factor's degree.
In other words, the overall cut quality of the diamond factors into light performance. Be that as it may, you're going to find that Ritani offers a broad selection of diamonds of different qualities.
Under those circumstances, it pays to know what to look for in terms of each diamond shape. With that in mind, I recommend reading our in-depth tutorials for each diamond shape.
In-depth Diamond Buying Guides by Shape:
Finding "Nice Ice" in a Sea of Icebergs:
If you're looking at Ritani engagement rings, then you're probably going to need a diamond. Under those circumstances, you're going to want the most spectacular-looking diamond that you can afford.
Of course, that only makes sense, but you probably also want to avoid the trauma of buying an ugly diamond. In other words, you want to know how to navigate the treacherous waters of buying a diamond online.
After all, the vast majority of ideal cut diamonds don't meet our selection criteria. Yeah, you read that last part right.
If you're looking for the best light performance, AGS Ideal and GIA Excellent cut might not be good enough. Take this 1.65 carat, H-color, VS-1 clarity, Ritani AGS Ideal-0 cut diamond, for example:
In this case, the arrows pattern is exhibiting a higher degree of contrast brilliance. Although that may be true, there is also a lot of obstruction under the table facet. As indicated by the red arrows and that is going to make the diamond look dark in the middle. Consequently, all of this is evident in the ASET map on the diamond grading report below.
Why Excellent/Ideal Might Not Be Good Enough:
In the first place, it's important to realize that the AGS Ideal cut rating encompasses a spectrum of light performance. Under those circumstances, you're going to find a range of possibilities. Consequently, we consider this 1.651 carat, H-color, VS-1 clarity, Ritani AGS Ideal-0 cut diamond on the low end.
To begin with, the proportions do not meet our selection criteria. Specifically, the 41.2 degree pavilion angle is not likely to produce the kind of light return we're looking for. The 43.5% pavilion depth is "the critical tipping point" where light begins not to strike fully off the pavilion facets.
As a matter of fact, that might be why there is so much clustering and obstruction visible under the table facet. In other words, that's probably the reason for the heavy concentration of contrast (blue) adjacent to the arrow shafts.
The ASET map also shows that the light is not reflecting evenly throughout the diamond. For example, pay particular attention to the green secondary brightness.
In this case, you'll see that little green arrows are peeking out under the table facet. As a matter of fact, that is secondary brightness showing up in an area that should be all red.
Not only that, but there is also a splash of green in the upper girdle facets in the 10 o'clock position. Be sure to read this article to learn more about how to interpret ASET Scope images.
Best Proportions for Performance:
Consequently, the Ritani AGS Ideal-0 cut diamond above does not have the proportions that we recommend. Under those circumstances, it is not likely to produce a higher degree of light return. Nor is it likely to exhibit a virtual balance of brilliance (white sparkle) and dispersion (colored sparkle/fire).
Furthermore, it's rather apparent that there is room for improvement within the realm of optical precision. That is the consistency of facet shape, size, and alignment. As a matter of fact, that is evident in how light is reflecting unevenly, as evident in the ASET.
We recommend the following proportions if you're looking for better performance:
Buy This Ritani Diamond Instead of That One:
Obviously, the Ritani diamond above is an example of what not to buy. In that event, you're probably wondering what we would recommend instead. As a matter of fact, this 1.90 carat, H-color, VS-2 clarity, GIA Excellent cut diamond from Ritani is a better choice.
Consequently, it's less expensive and will face-up larger because it's a bigger diamond. In this case, both diamonds are H-color, but this one is one clarity grade lower. Although that may be true, it's of no consequence because the VS-2 clarity ensures that it will face-up eye-clean.
As a matter of fact, this diamond has proportions within the range we recommend. At the same time, it's not showing the same type of obstruction under the table facet.
Here is a copy of the GIA diamond grading report for your reference. In this case, the 40.6 degree pavilion angle should produce a high volume of light return. At the same time, the 34.5 degree crown angle produces a virtual balance of brilliance and dispersion.
Evaluating Diamond Optical Precision:
Earlier in this article, we touched on the idea of optical precision. As you'll recall, that is the consistency of facet shape, size, and alignment from the perspective of 360-degrees.
The left image shows how this diamond looks when viewed through a Hearts & Arrows Scope from the pavilion. As a matter of fact, the heart in the five o'clock position is well-formed. However, the others are not, and that indicates a lesser degree of optical precision.
Under those circumstances, this is not a Hearts and Arrows diamond. However, it's typical of a standard ideal cut diamond and falls within the Top 1% of the rounds' annual production. Be that as it may, the analysis of the computerized proportions from the supplier provides additional insight:
Vintage Inspired Ritani Engagement Rings:
It's time to decide which style of Ritani engagement rings is right for you. As a matter of fact, vintage-inspired settings like the open halo setting on the left are quite popular right now.
Consequently, the 1.90 carat puppy above would look amazing in this ring! Of course, by the time you read this Ritani Engagement Rings Review, they will most likely sell that diamond. Be that as it may, you can always engage our Free Diamond Concierge Service.
Obviously, we know what we're doing, so we can help you find the best Ritani diamonds available. At the same time, we might provide you with more in-depth insight, as shown above. After all, those H&A Scope images aren't readily available on the Ritani website.
