  • How to Sell Your Diamond For The Best Price FAST in 2021

Copywriter Frances Gerety coined the phrase "A Diamond Is Forever" for De Beers back in 1947, and it solidified the rising popularity of diamonds as the ultimate symbol of love. Unfortunately not every marriage proposal has a happy ending and sometimes it is necessary to sell our most treasured diamonds and jewelry items.

How to Sell Your Diamond Quickly and Easily for the Best Price.

Sell Your Diamond to WPDiamonds Quickly & Easily.

I can tell you from personal experience that the reason why you have to sell your diamond engagement ring doesn't really matter. Because it's going to suck regardless of the reason.

In my case, there was an estate to settle after my wife and business partner passed away in 2005. In that event, I sold off lots and lots of stuff that I really didn't want to part with. Suffice to say that's just the way the cookie crumbled and I learned some good lessons along the way.

Not the least of which is that all of the stuff that I ended up selling was "just stuff" and that it had served its purpose. Consequently, that included my late wife Robin's personal jewelry and my own. As a matter of fact, I was in the jewelry business at the time. However, everything was frozen in time for eight long years due to litigation brought by her family.

"Why Did You Sell Your Diamond?"

What can I say? My late wife's family saw an opportunity and took their best shot at a hostile takeover. In the end, I won the lawsuit after eight long years. However, most of our personal assets had already been sold off in the process to settle the state. To add insult to injury, I was forced to sell everything for considerably less than the market value. Obviously, you've got to do whatever is necessary to survive and that was the cost of doing so.

I understand that it might seem strange for me to share my personal experience with a complete stranger. However, I hope that doing so might give you comfort or enlightenment during a time that you find yourself in a difficult situation. Obviously, I know that it's painful to sell your diamond. But, sometimes it helps to know that somebody else has traveled the path before you and survived.

On that note, I'll let you in on a little secret. Pick yourself up and dust yourself off once this is all over. Then take a moment to recalibrate your mindset and develop a plan for getting back on your feet. You might even express gratitude for the opportunity to sell your diamond during this time of need. Of course, I realize that might seem strange right now in this moment. But, trust me when I say that gratitude is the path back to prosperity.

Where to Sell Your Diamond Online:

There is no shortage of places to sell your diamonds, fine jewelry, and watches. My favorite, of course, is WP Diamonds because they seem to offer a fair price and PAY FAST. Obviously, that is what you really want when you’re faced with having to sell your diamond or personal jewelry.

If you’ve got time on your side, then Diamond Bistro is a popular option. However, I have to tell you that I’ve listed tons of jewelry for sale there and never even got a bite. The reality is that selling diamond engagement rings and other fine jewelry online can be time-consuming. In addition, there are no guarantees that they will actually sell. And then, there is the hassle and risk of accepting payment from somebody who you don’t know and shipping the jewelry to a complete stranger.

What About Local Resources?

Of course, you can always try to sell your diamond engagement ring and fine jewelry to a local jeweler or pawn shop. However, in my experience, this is probably the worst option in terms of your being paid anything reasonable. One of the reasons is that most jewelry stores lack any sort of significant turnover of inventory. In that case, they are going to pay as little as possible for your piece of jewelry. After all, they have no idea how long it is going to sit in their display case.

If selling your diamond back to the original vendor is not an option, then you might consider WP Diamonds. As a matter of fact, it's a good place to sell your diamond, fine jewelry, and/or watches. In my experience, they pay more than most local jewelry stores and pawn shops are willing to pay.

Needless to say, that they are an established name in the diamond and jewelry industry. In my experience, they pay promptly as agreed and in a timely manner. Of course, you're under no obligation. That means that you can always reject their offer if you decide that you don’t want to sell your diamond jewelry for what they're willing to pay.

How Much Should You Sell Your Diamond For?

In most cases, we tend to value our diamond engagement rings and designer jewelry based on sentimental value. However, in the real world diamonds and jewelry are a basic commodity. In that case, they are only worth whatever somebody is willing to pay.

Of course, I realize that this might sound harsh. And I suppose that it is, but it is also the harsh reality that I had to accept myself. After all, I had to sell off the personal assets and jewelry that Robin and I accumulated during the life of our marriage.

Under those circumstances, the only thing that sentiment brings to the table when it comes to selling diamonds and jewelry is lost time and regret. You can take my word for it, or you can learn this hard lesson on your own, such is the nature of life. At the end of the day, selling your used diamonds and jewelry is about freeing up some capital.

Sell Your Diamond & Move On:

Hopefully, having that cash in your pocket will make your life easier. Circling back to my earlier recommendation to express gratitude, try to be grateful for all the things that money will enable you to do. Because expressing gratitude is the key to getting back on your feet in my experience.

In the first place, you've got nothing to lose, so reach out and get in touch with them. Try to provide them with as much detail as possible because that will enable you to sell your diamond faster. In that case, it helps to have the diamond grading report number for your diamond, so they can look it up.

They’ll provide you with an estimate of what they are willing to pay, subject to an inspection of course. They’ll even help you ship the item to their office. It doesn’t get any easier than that.
